Uncompromisingly tough
More rugged than it's long running predecessor, the R12 is IP54 rated - highly dust and water resistant - and MIL810G tested for drops and environmental conditions. All the while the R12 is much lighter than its predecessor weighing only 1.3Kg.
Whilst the display glass goes wide past the edge of the display area (for Windows 8 gesture support), the edges of the display are protected by a solid bezel and sub frame support to resist damage from drops, knocks and bumps.
